Bond Therapy vs Keratin vs Signature Treatment: What's the Difference?

Three treatments, three different results. Understand exactly what each one does — and which one your hair actually needs before you book.

Clients often arrive asking for "a treatment" without knowing which one they need. Here's a straight breakdown of our three main treatment categories — what they repair, how they work, and who they're for.

Premium Bond Therapy

What it does: Rebuilds the internal disulfide bonds of the hair — the same bonds broken by bleaching, relaxing, or repeated heat styling.

How it works: Repairing agents (maleic acid, bis-aminopropyl diglycol dimaleate) penetrate the cortex and link broken bonds back together. The effect is structural, not superficial.

Who needs it:

  • Hair that has been bleached or lightened
  • Hair post-rebonding or perming
  • Hair that snaps easily when pulled wet
  • Hair with severe elasticity loss
Expected result: Stronger hair that stretches before snapping. Improved elasticity, reduced breakage. Does NOT smooth or add shine on its own — pair with a deep conditioning for best results.

Session time: 1.5 to 2 hours.

L'Oréal Absolut Repair

What it does: A professional-grade protein reconstruction treatment that targets porosity and surface damage while also rebuilding internal structure.

How it works: Gold quinoa proteins + hyaluronic acid fill in gaps in the cuticle while rebuilding cortex structure. The result is visibly smoother, shinier, healthier-looking hair.

Who needs it:

  • Color-treated hair that looks dull or rough
  • Hair with visible frizz and flyaways
  • Hair that tangles excessively even when wet
  • Anyone wanting a treatment that delivers visual results the same day
Expected result: Noticeably shinier, smoother hair. Reduced frizz. Improved color vibrancy. Lasts 4–6 washes.

Session time: 1 to 1.5 hours.

Signature Hair Treatment

What it does: Beauty Essentials' in-house cocktail treatment — a multi-step hydration, protein, and shine protocol using Sir George's curated product selection.

Who needs it: Clients who want an all-around maintenance treatment — not restoring severe damage, but keeping healthy hair at peak condition.

Expected result: Softer, more manageable hair. Improved smoothness and shine. Best for clients on a regular salon schedule who want to maintain hair quality.
